This course is divided into 6 one-hour modules you can study at your own pace.

The course will explain:

WHY sensory circuits are often recommended
WHAT equipment should be used
HOW pupils should use that equipment
WHEN circuits should be run
WHO should attend
WHERE circuits can be run

At the end of the course, staff will be able to run an effective sensory circuit with pupils. They will understand:

Why circuits involve specific activities.
Why some activities are considered alerting, organising or calming, and when each one is required.
How to build an effective circuit using equipment you probably have in your PE cupboard.
How to recognise what pupils need and how to adapt the circuit activities accordingly.
How to know when more is required or when to finish.
How to monitor effectiveness.
